On April 4, 2024, Attorney Owen Weaver participated in the Annual New Jersey Seminar of the Society of Professional Assessors. Joining Attorney Weaver on the panel were real estate professionals John Gillooly of Integra Realty Resources and Peter Vimini of Vimini Valuation Service, LLC. Attorney Weaver, Mr. Gillooly and Mr. Vimini led an interactive discussion with the New Jersey assessors in attendance on various topics concerning retail valuation, including market trends for the northeast region and the valuation of big-box stores, with an emphasis on the "Dark Store Theory." Attorney Weaver is part of the real estate tax practice group at Marino, Zabel & Schellenberg, PLLC and has years of experience defending and prosecuting tax appeals in New Jersey and Connecticut.
